GOODBYE 2020
2020 has finally come to an end and there are a number of things we would like to mention before this year ends. It has been almost an year since the lockdown has prevailed and we have been stuck in our homes ever since then. As we continue to battle for our lives against the COVID-19 pandemic, all of our lives may seem to have come to a pause, a pause that never seems to end. However, our professional lives continue as school and exams are still conducted online. Since we all have so much of time on our hands, some things have changed significantly. For some of us, time away from our typical social lives has given us time to reflect, think and rectify; and it almost made life peaceful with only a number of close people to talk to and avoid all the other unnecessary social necessities. It feels so calm and quiet without the chaos caused by society and this time has almost come as a blessing in disguise as it acted as therapy in one way or other. For others, this seems to be the time where they feel isolated, insignificant and alone with a lot of turmoil and lack of contact from their family and friends. Work from school and other academic activities may be causing them to pull away from their friends and they might be in a very chaotic mental state. In this time, we also have found out who are the people absolutely necessary in our lives as we seem to talk only those people and conversations with those who are not very important seem to be minimalistic. I don't need to explain how much of a positive effect quarantine has had on nature but it has also very severely affected economy and livelihoods of people. Even though, this year has been burdened with a pandemic, wild-fires, locust swarms, international tension etc, it seems to have given rise to social issues such as equality, justice and individuality. People seem to have reflected and realized that we need immediate change. Many of us have also reconnected or learnt art forms such as music, reading books, watching movies and the love for art in general. People may call 2020 the "cursed year", and in some aspects it is true, but we can't also deny the fact that it was a much needed break for all of us. As we say goodbye to 2020 and welcome 2021, we hope for everyone to have a very blessed 2021 and hope for everyone to get whatever they wish for in life. For those, who have found themselves or reinvented themselves in quarantine, we hope for you to be the best version of yourself. For those who are finding it hard to cope, we hope you reach out to our loved ones and try to reconnect and that you get what you always wanted. For those, who are just looking forward to a new year, we wish that next year becomes a little more positive and better. we wish everyone a very Happy New Year and a lovely year ahead.
LOVE
